Great Falls rose 2ft in just 6 hrs this morning.  :-\

At this rate I hope it's not a wet spring because by then I'll really be wanting to fish again.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, we're going to have a mild(temp) & wet winter :(

Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

The more I fish the more I realize it isn t about the fishing.  The older I get the more I realize it is about the moments God has hand crafted just for me.

I've hit a few really nice bass on 2 recent trips Thurs & Friday afternoons.  I've been able to escape work around 3pm and spend a little time knocking around on some local creeks.  I hit a really nice 14"  smallmouth last night that was beautifully colored and really feisty, along with some smaller redeye that were 10"-12".  The water is PRIME right now, but we are about a month too early for the serious fishing to begin...
