Interesting fact on the KY State Record.
« on: February 05, 2012, 05:10:10 PM »
I seen a segment on the KY state record and could not believe that the 54", 26 1/2" girth, 47lb beast was caught by a 14 year old girl.   :o

That is awesome.  Here is a clip from the old segment.

Great vid!
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

Clearly, that fish intentionally got himself caught by a 14 year old girl just to mock me even more.  I hate those fish.

This is why Tennessee should focus more on reservoirs not just rivers.

That is why you should throw more cowgirls!!

I have caught some hogs by dropping them 15 feet next to submerged trees and letting them sink them ripping them out.  Ive used almost every lure out there over the years and if you specifically want to target larger fish, throw these double 10's and I build a less expensive version of the original.   The key is to have the right reel for these lures as they tear up alot of them out there.  Abu Toro Revo Winch is the way to go.  I know alot of this forum is into fly fishing, but to truly chase the big fish, those lures that put out the biggest thump will produce the largest fish.

"Retails 6 dollars" - that may be the rarest sentence in the English language in a discussion about musky lures.
