Need a rain jacket for REALLY NASTY weather?
« on: February 19, 2012, 08:47:04 PM »
Forget the $400 trendy jackets.

This one IMO may be the best one made. It isn't packable, lightweight, reflective seams, or have North Face on it anywhere. It isn't a wading jacket and would look goofy used as such.. But for boat fishing it's bad ass for keeping you completely dry and warm under any conditions (except for you Grumpy It won't prevent leakage during a total submersion ;D). I picked mine up at the Outpost brand new for $99. Put a down jacket under it and let it do whatever it wants outside, you'll be warm and dry.

I stayed dry all day with my $100 Carhart bibs and rain jacket combo.  It might not be breathable or in vouge but it sure is dry on a really wet nasty day!
