Sink Creek, Dekalb Co.

Took the boy fishing over the last couple of days. The fishing has been slow after the trout were stocked on Wednesday. Best times have been in the morning right at daybreak. Looks like it might be a good spring for the creeks. Great way to introduce children to fishing. Now that he is catching some he wants his own fly rod for the Caney. I hope there is someone out there that can help us both.

Kids ... yep, it's important.

talk with dleo.. he's your man for a suitable rod for a younger, smaller, shorter,  fisherman.. he built one for my grandson (7)  Leo met little Bryce up here on the river one day back in the Fall ... went to shake his hand.. came over to me and said now I know how big his hand his...  later.. .. we made it a Christmas gift.. (at a really good price, included a real and line) even tho that boy got plenty of gifts more geared for a usual video-game loving kid, he opened that rod tube with care and awe ... seeing that boy hook up with a couple rainbows tossing a soft hackle on his first outing ... was in his words  "Pa, this is C-O-O-L cool!"  Hooked up early enough for it to become a real love, I think.  I sure hope so.

Good luck!
