When is that Muskie Fly Fishing Tournament?

I'm thinking about heading up in that general vicinity some time in the next few weeks to get in another day of not catching any muskies, but I don't want to be there on tournament day.

What could it hurt?  I think I've spent more than that in gas driving up to the Plateau.

Just out of curiosity, is everyone "blasting off" from the same ramp in this tournament, or can people launch from different places?  I have this mental picture of something similar to that scene in Jaws just before Hooper shows up, where the big crowd of boats is running all over the place in total chaos looking for the shark.

Bd I envision a scene more like a B.A.S.S. Tournment.  Fisherman waiting for first light.  A lifting fog.  The sound of oars failing the water.  While outboards rev.  Drft boats, Gheenoes, Jons, Supremes and of course Towees rubbing gunnels trying to be first to that honey hole when the BIG'em lives.  I am gitty just thinking about it.

Damn I only wish I had taken the day off just to watch the madness!

I hope some pro photog is there to capture the action.
