WTB- small outboard for a 14ft jon
« on: July 16, 2012, 08:06:05 PM »
If anyone hears of a motor in the 4-15hp range please let me know.

I don't really want anything bigger either 2 or 4 stroke doesn't matter.

Thanks.

20 or 15 shaft, or does it not matter.

A buddy of mine has a Nissan 9.9 4 stroke for sale.  Send me a pm if you would like me to get you in touch with him.

I believe its a 15" transom height but do not think it matters. The boat is an older Polar Kraft S-1418 and will be used on the Caney/Obey etc.

Finally got some things settled.

If anyone knows of a small prop outboard short shaft to fit a 14ft polarkraft let me know. I am not particularly looking for a brand new one $$$ wise but instead a good used one that not really really old.

Not sure whats too big for it, I'd say nothing bigger than a 15hp. On my first 14ft jon I had a 20 johnson and that may have been a bit much.

Thanks
