Upstream from Center Hill?
« on: April 22, 2006, 03:11:56 PM »
Everybody fished below the lake, what does the river upstream offer?
Yesterday, I was at the bottom. I was at the bottom of a valley, in the river. Then my eyes hiked up the mountains to the snow capped peaks. I thought, "When I am at this lowest place I can be, standing in a river, everything is looking up."

I couldn't say, even if I knew, I still couldn't say.  8)

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

Upriver from Center Hill is Rock Island, which I've never fished.  I've heard it has a good walleye run in the spring.  Above Rock Island you have the Caney Fork and the Collins.  The Collins is known to some as a muskie river; it has some smallmouth too.  Access is terrible though.  Part of the upper Caney is stocked with trout, but I don't know a lot about it.
