Musky Action
« on: September 17, 2012, 08:29:14 PM »
Unfortunately this ski is not from TN, but I went home to MN last weekend with the discipline of not catching, but capturing with the nikon!  I stood patiently beside my buddy as he casted and casted, 4 1/2 hours later he hooked up and I captured!  Hope you like!

This is the only way i could figure out how to post pics.  How do you get them to show up in the thread and not on a link?

Not sure about flickr, but photobucket has a link with an IMG code IMG.  I just copy that and paste it in the message for a seamless photo to appear.

Nice fish, and great action shots.

What kind of bait, Topraider?

Yeah that is what i thought.  I have a shutterfly account, but can't figure out my login since it has been a while since I have been on it.  The flickr has a code, but it didn't work.  Oh well.

Yep Topraider.  My favorite muskie bait.  I had one in MN that I caught 17 muskies on it, including 3 over 50 before it broke in half while casting!  I was heart broken!  HA!  I had them figured out in MN, but still a TN musky virgin!

You can get these skittish TN river muskies to hit that Topraider here too, but the only guys I know who have any luck are throwing them at night.
Good luck with all the sycamore leaves on the water right now.
I've had better luck on a Weagle, but still not wearing them out on topwater.

If I were you, I'd try these crisp fall mornings on Great Falls Reservoir.  You may get that 18 muskie Topraider before it has a blowout.  BTW, check out Dahlberg's Whopper Plopper regular and Jr sizes...those things run true, and really have a good sound.

Good Luck,

Travis

Thanks for the info.  I have had some nice follows and had one grab a figure 8 on Great falls, just no hooks in her though.  Soon enough it will happen!  I don't try very often though, mostly trout and stripers :-)

Fixed em. Hit modify and you'll see how the tags should look. Nice images!

Love the picture. Why change the way you posted it? It looks pretty good to me.

Awesome pics!  Thanks.  I love the Top Raider.  I still haven't hooked up with it, but I throw it all the time just to hear it and see it work the water.  One day, it is gonna work!
