Musky trips
« on: February 21, 2013, 09:45:22 PM »
I've been looking at boats and such to get started chasing these fish. Before if I make a decision I'd like to take a guided trip for a day to get a feel for everything. I appreciate all the help I've gotten on the board about flies, gear, exc. if anyone has any recommendations it would be great. PM's are fine. Thanks!

Caleb

Contact Dwayne Hickey if your wanting to explore middle TN musky streams and just learn about the fish. He wrote the book.
I'll be glad to take you out and show you the boat, lines, rods, flies, get follows and maybe a hookup... I can show you how we've done it the times we've targeted them but I'm nowhere near as accomplished at Musky as Dwayne. He doesn't fly fish though...

If you don't take Mike up on that offer, I will!

I have some friends from work that went out with the other guy on spinning gear. He does have private access and knows that river very well. From there comments, I would put my money on Mike with fly gear, I've put it on him before ;D
