I'm pale...but I'm not winter's bone/Casper pale.
Yeah, it's that damn Iphone 5 camera. Takes lousy low light pics. I've had nothing but trouble with that shitty phone...my battery now only lasts a half a day. I'm ready to pitch it in the river. 
Sounds like you got one of the lemons. Mine has been awesome. Battery life is the same if not better then my 4. I'd take it in and raise hell about it.
