The CPX 12 is a great rod. I have not found another 12 that casts better...even the Xi3. It is significantly lighter and stronger than other 12 wts I have thrown...far superior to TFO's TiCrX. It figure 8's a big fly better than a 10 , because it does not flex and wobble when you slice it through the water. After a full day of musky fishing, I am much less fatigued with this 12 than if I use a 10 wt.
I own 2 of these rods, and I have absolutely beat them to death. I dread the day I have to switch to another brand if I break them..although the new 9 ft predators look very similar.
