I'm sure many of you have experienced a similar thing along the way, but I'll be damned if sometimes it doesn't seem like Mother Nature knows all the requisite details of my travel plans. It gets old.

One week from today (Wednesday), and the next two days after that,  I will be on this boat fishing for Blue & Black marlin:

And now we have Hurricane Paul....

Oh...and about 3 weeks ago my wife fell and broke her hip.... :o  Needless to say there has been much discussion about this trip since her accident and surgery.  I think it's going to work out. She insists I will go regardless of whether she does. She has since even in the hospital. Tournament entry and calcutta fees paid already....by someone else on my behalf.

I know I'm a lucky man in many ways but I'd still like to know how does Mother Nature know my travel plans?

It works in my favor sometimes. During the drought all I had to do was plan a day off and I could bring the rain. Not just a sprinkle either. I brought us several turd floaters over the summer.
Alas, all the evil of the twentieth century is possible everywhere on earth. Yet, I have not given up all hope that human beings and nations may be able, in spite of all, to learn from the experience of other people without having to go through it personally. The Gulag Archipelago 1918–1956

She insists I will go regardless of whether she does.

Now THIS is impressive!!!  My wife gets a bad cold, and she complains if I go fishing ten minutes up the road at the creek!
