I have edited my post, because I know John is an honest, fair minded guy.  He's worked real hard trying to get this boat fabrication up and running...and having to commute back and forth from Colorado and California while switching suppliers and employees has made the delivery of his product a true challenge.

Those who have owned or use the skiff speak highly of its performance and toughness.
I'll try to post a pic of a 25 Etec jet used on the Little red with an added cavitation plate, and a slight 1-2" raise on the 20" transom.  I would not add a jackplate if at all possible....it will decrease the jet foot intake/performance.

My flame is burning out also. No communication worries me. Did you get your trailer in Charlotte? I was talking with the guys at efo and they said a guy had been waiting a while and I would guess that is you. I bought a 40 evinrude etec used (2006) and am having a jet foot put on now. What are gonna run on yours? I am hoping I can jet up the rivers and row back down like I do in my hyde. Also I fish in Florida and wanna get in the flats with it. Strippers are gonna run soon and I wanted it for that also. I will not be able to take it to Florida with me in a few weeks either so that's a bummer. One more question. Will we need a jack plate? Well thanks for the reply. I have more hope after your reply. Hopefully John will call us soon and we can head UP the river !!! Hope you catch some big ones !

Here is an image you may find helpful for your jet setup.
This boat was modified by an experienced jet boat installer in Missouri.  He raised the transom about 1-2 inches with a welded rectangular piece of aluminum, and attached a modified cavitation plate directly to the transom.
The fellow who owns this boat says it runs well in some skinny water during no flow on the Little Red River.  This is one of the early prototypes of the boat.

You are right. He told me he has redesigned most of the aluminum and promised it is a much improved boat. I and looking forward to it and it will be worth the wait. Thanks for the pic. It will be helpful when mounting my motor. I have a great friend that can weld aluminum. Keep me posted if you hear anything and I will do the same. Thanks for all your help.

Just talked with John on the phone. He said maybe next week but no longer than 2. Said the guys that just got theirs are having a blast.  Sounded like he has made a lot of great changes to the boat. Should be soon I hope !!!!

Yes I am getting the trolling motor bracket. He also said he was gonna try to run conduit and wiring to the bracket. I am getting a 65 yeti and the casting support in the front. I did not order but i am  thinking about getting the rear casting platform for flats. Also getting the anchor system. Will be a blast and worth the wait I am sure. My jet foot has been delayed til June 20 so I guess the wait doesn't matter that much. Been a process for sure.

Well it sounds painful.  Sorry for the wait!  It should be a sweet ride when you finally get it

Guess they are behind. bUt I came home today and there was a yeti cooler and seat cushion at my door. Either hog island shipped it to me since it is the rowers seat or its a gift. I am going with hog island. Wonder if twiles got one???
