Gheenoe 15'6" Classic
« on: April 20, 2007, 08:11:15 PM »
Any one got this boat? Thumper is this like yours or do you have the 15'4" ??? I still got you phone # ;)

I went up to Perry's and looked at both boats, Tuesday night late and Wednesday at lunch, so I'm a serious looker, like I told Perry, got to ride before I buy ;D

Which do you think would make the best Elk River boat? The 15'4" Original or the 15'6" Classic.

Also, what is the smallest usuable Jet you have seen?

My Gheenoe is the  Classic model.  I owned the smaller Gheenoe for a while.  Nice boat but less stable and more canoe like.  If you plan to have more than 2 people in your boat you will want  the Classic.  As far as small jets go 20hp with a 25 power head is about as small as you will find these days.  A  2stroke Mercury 25/20 jet weights about 120lbs.  All 2strokes outboards stopped production as of 2005 due to new emmission laws.  This is perfect for a Classic.  I'll post some pictures later this weekend of mine.  Call me for a ride!
