Obey Report
« on: November 20, 2006, 02:54:55 PM »
I fished the Obey yesterday with Craig and we did pretty good. It was my first trip in a Kayak and really enjoyed it. On the way back upstream my right arm started cramping real bad and I wondered how I could get back if it just locked up. I just kept forcing it to extend and finally it quit cramping. I can see right now I am going to have to have a Kayak for some of the little creeks I love to fish.

The fly of the day was a 20 grey midge. I lost all of them as fast as I could tie them on due to rotten a BPS leader. I am going back to Umpqua leaders for good. I don't remember them ever failing me. The fish are in much better shape then when I last fished the Obey. They actually had white tips and were putting up a decent fight once hooked.

Craig I really enjoyed it buddy. Thanks for the Kayak instruction, getting the spare rod for me, and that peanut butter thingy you gave me. I really had a good time, lets' do it again.
