Better than a sharp stick in the eye
« on: August 29, 2013, 09:42:33 AM »
Here's the Wednesday afternoon report. Lots of small, fresh-stocked bows. Lots and lots. A few that seemed like they'd been around a bit longer, including a couple of brookies. One pretty respectable bow on a hopper. A good sunburn (what the hell is this yellow thing in the sky that I haven't seen in months?!).

Oh, and while I was working upstream through a run, two guys in a canoe paddled upstream past me, and then anchored up a very short distance upstream and started fishing. Like, as in a short enough distance that I was tempted to switch to a larger fly and drop it in their boat. Almost felt like I was on the Caney!

Sounds about 100 times better than having to work!

Sounds like a good except for the douches.

The stockers never made it to the the Van Zandt bend area... hasn't been any stocking in that area in a while.  We fished for about 3 hours and got 3-4 browns about 10 inches each... really kind of pretty day Sunday AM.
