Striper fishing on Boone Lake

Just wondering if anyone is fishing for stripers on boone. Been catching a few on top water. The L Wives are starting. Anyone doing any good.

went last night boated three hybrids had 6 more on. They are really hitting top water right now.

Fished the mouth of the Watauga/Boone a few weeks back, and I had just missed a large run of Rockfish and hybrids before the water muddied up.  You could tell there were still a few fish moving around, but not like what everyone had described before the heavy rain.  I won't be back there until mid summer, so I hope  they keep busting good for you....I've chased those crazy fish for years, and I've always just barely missed the "big run" in every watershed I've fished.  I'll finally figure them out when I move back and get a good boat and more time.
