Finally get to check these off the list! That's all I can say.  8)

Nice kype!

I've got another long shot you might want to chase this winter, but it needs to get cold first... ;)

Yea, I'd like to chase some lake run bows too.

Nice Sockeye!
Reminds me of the fall runs on the Western Lakes.  Bet it was fun seeing them brighten up the bottom of a mountain river.

That makes the work worth it Travis. Those red fish darting around after each other in that clear water was so awesome. All this time I was starting to think, damn, these fish must camouflage well because after several tries to locate them,, I can't. I began to wonder if somehow all two images I've seen were somehow blown out of proportion and these were actually tiny little fish that would be easy to miss as you work upstream. Then, there they were in BRIGHT RED flashes against a black bottom. I watched them for quite awhile.

It's a hard time to find them, lots of gas, hours behind the wheel, trekking through woods and water, dodging bear scat and hornets nests. I still say it's worth it if you've never seen them.

I tried to get this nest but it was still a little bit too warm. I think I could have gotten it no problem but I wasn't 100% and I was in no mood to be stung anymore this year.

I'm getting pretty spoiled in these remote places and actually starting to like exploring them alone. As long as I have my little friend with me I'm good. That little bit of fear in the back of your head makes the trip more memorable.

Very nice Mike!

If crossing state boundaries just make sure of reciprocity.

Oh I've always contributed to multiple states DNR funds.

I was referring to carry permit.

What carry permit?  If I can't carry protection when alone in the woods then we got a problem.

Mike,
Not asking where you caught them just wondering what state you caught them in?
