Zac, my post was meant more as a plea than a slam against you. I've got the same bug as you. I get it. I enjoy a good post with musky pics, as do a lot of people. When landmarks are shown, or places are called by name, the mystery goes away. It's kind of like when you first saw that model from the SI  swimsuit issue  in Playboy. Once you see that nip the mystery goes away and some of the fun is lost. There's no need to leave. Keep posting.

Kyle.... never mind. You know that I still love you. Sorry I've been a stranger.

Stuff like this is the reason I moved to a big reservoir. I remember, like it or not, being the first guy to discover the value of that spot. No one fished there. No one. Realized the value of it one day when we were going to try yo launch the boat to get there and couldn't so me and Chris Brook went shore fishing in 8 degrees and lost 2 in ten minutes. "Spot"...I hate that word. Granted it's been fun catching giants around it, and now with the 50" limit it's a lot more protected, but I made the mistake then being too liberal with spots on a system so small. Granted there are many areas more challenging to fish in the Rock a Island system, even the tertiary spots hold big fish at times... One thing fishing on a larger diverse reservoir has reminded me is the fun of following no ones lead, reading and studying criterion, realizing "spots" are merely areas of amalgamated criterion that duplicate themselves in many ways. Recognizing where the "10" of the "90" is is the fun part.

Trolling has produced well as of late though not novice trolling that's for sure. Having to be very precise. Got thus 49" last week nowhere near where the crowds fish
