Yes, that's the place. Try the Ethiopian Harrar.

I used to buy from a place in West Virginia call Black Dog Coffee and have it shipped to me. That is one of the best flavored beans.

I like my coffee like I like my women:  cheap and picked up at the truck stop.

Hey, do y'all fish?

Anytime I want. Problem is I have other priorities that have become priorities because of my fishing addiction in the past....  ::)

Ha ha I can totally understand. Did we just get spoiled Grump? I mean I know what its fishing like now and quite honestly, I'm not motivated. I mean sure you can go to the warm water discharges but that's never been a turn on for me. Guess I just got burned out here and it's in a slump so I can't seem to force myself to go when I have other things that need done... However,, all you have to do is mention East TN and I'll be waiting in the truck...

we've got one of the Nespresso machines.  Some sort of high end Italian deal.

http://www.nespresso-us.com/machines/lattissima-plus/

Gotta buy the espresso cups on Amazon and they ain't cheap.  You can also fill your own, but i like the ones we buy and there is no mess.

The milk steamer is impressive too.  We tried almond milk once, but that didn't go so well.

Sam that's a neat machine but it looks like a strictly automatic. Pretty awesome no doubt and I might have been better off with something like that. However, I'm in search of the perfect shot via water pressure and portafilter. Today I think I may have worked out the perfect combo. I made two perfect double shots back to back. It's just crazy how difficult this is to perfect. If the grind is off, or the tamp pressure isn't right you either over extract (very bitter expresso)or under extract (not expresso, but more like strong coffee). Change one, and you have to change the other.Change the beans and it throws everything off and you have to start all over again. It's a big PITA but it's something to occupy my mind early in the morning and the results get me fired up for the day!

I'm no coffee snob, I just love to dig into stuff that interests me and then try to become proficient at it. I've had my machine torn apart two times already. I'm that guy that takes everything apart to see how it works... It's a sickness. Just FYI the Gaggia machine I have has a flaw that are easy remedied with some goop (plenty of youtube video to show you how to do this). This machine is built to be worked on and not just thrown away. Thats a quality that I was sure had died.  It's an impressive piece of machinery.

Sam I saw the Nespresso machine at Essex for about half what it sells for on amazon.

I tried some of the Illy coffee that you can find in Krogers. It's supposed to be some of the best. I picked up the ground Espresso med roast, mainly to see how fine the grind was so I can match it. It makes a beautiful shot with lots of "crema". It's a bit weak on flavor but I suspect its because it's been ground awhile. I'll try the whole beans next. To remedy the weakness I mixed in 50% Harrar. The result was espresso that had good crema, not sour, not bitter, perfect.
