SUP-a-TIME
« on: May 02, 2014, 09:41:55 AM »
I've been anxiously awaiting the warm weather for a long time. Finally got some boards to explore the less  accessible water where most boats can't reach.
Two Badfishers came in the mail yesterday.  My initial impression:

This board is top notch.  Very rugged, tough walls, clean seams, And super stowable---you could load this thing in a Mazda Miata.  Their Kevlar paddle and 3 piece fiberglass/carbon packable padddles are very nice, strong and lightweight

Can't wait to float this board on the water.

Nice looking SUP and paddles. Let us know how she does when you get out on her.

We sold a couple of inflatables Travis, talked to one of the guys, he's been real happy with it, said it was just as stable as a hard board & didn't have to worry about lifting it on top of his vehicle at the end of the day..

Those look sweet!  I'm a big fan of modern inflatables and those are top of the line.

Hope you've already gotten them wet! We just broke down and got a K-pump, which should make getting the dang things up to appropriate pressure easier than the pump that comes along with them. If the Badfisher is like the MCIT, it's extremely sensitive to underfilling... >14psi and you're golden.

Hope you weren't planning on fishing the middle Jimmy soon. You been watching the news? Surprised there's no footage of dead muskies & smallmouth washing up on the banks.

Yeah, I heard about that shit.  The only good thing is that it was during a flood stage, and the burning helped to contain the sludge from racing into the water too quickly.  Still a true shame.

Been playing around with the board a bit, but 25 mpg gusts kept me In the big boat more.  I really like it so far.  Breelyn loves it too.  Piggy-backin' on the Hog Island works pretty well.  Should be nice when you reach a barrier in the river or marsh.

Nice boards. Breelyn really looks like her mom in that pic!
