Big water mixed bag
« on: November 04, 2014, 10:24:43 AM »
Met Yoda on the mainstem Tennessee River last Sunday. The big fish bite never materialized, but it was pretty constant pipsqueak action for most of the day, and it turned out to be a beautiful day to be on the river.

Highlight was watching another guy hook up on a #40-50 paddlefish. Somehow he managed to get it up to the boat -- the fish was missing its snout, but the wound was completely healed over. Amazing that it was still able to feed effectively. Beautiful fish...

Yesterday I had to drive over the river to get to an evening research seminar, and just couldn't resist a quick stop. TVA was spilling and pushing more water, but I still managed to scrape up some fun fish.

Sure better than nothing…
