In hindsight, bolting it back on was a really, really, really stupid idea.
I've been trying to get caught up on grading, but after spending the whole day yesterday not fishing, and piddling away most of this morning, I figured I needed a fix.
I ran up through a bit of sketchy water, tagged a boulder and started losing thrust. Crap, this isn't good… I managed to get the boat up into the next pool and beached it to have a look. The jet foot was cracked almost in half, with a gap roughly 1/2" wide all the way across the intake and the housing. I've got no good ramp nearby, and have to get back down through a couple interesting rapids -- I don't want to do that without power. After considering my options, I pulled the foot off, hammered the crack shut on a rock, and wrapped the entire thing with duct tape. Man, I hope this works…

Cranked it up and she jumped on plane. Awesome! I sure wasn't NOT going to fish after this, so I started working my way back downstream. Third cast, looked down to see TWO fish following, one nice and the other just massive. The nice fish ate, I got it in the net and was able to get a bank fishermen to snap a quick pic.

Two other follows over the next hour or two, but couldn't convince either to play. The 7mph wind that was predicted turned into gusts to 25-30+, and I decided to just make the run back to the ramp.
I suspect the foot is beyond welding at this point, will order a new intake assembly tomorrow morning.
