Inflatable SUP search is on
« on: July 25, 2015, 02:48:52 PM »
So, I sold my Coosa and now I am on a mission to find an inflatable SUP for my fishing pursuits.

Here is what I have looked at so far, would love to hear everyone's feedback.

Glenn, this is what you and I saw at the NRA convention.

And finally, the Badfisher.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated as this is new to me.

Steve, you are correct!  The Stone River Gear was the board we saw at NRA.  My .02 is get a Badfisher.  I only say that b/c others on the board seem to use and like them and the company looks to have staying power and rep in the industry.

Thanks Glenn, that is where I was leaning, but I wanted to see what others thought. Will continue my research.  :)

The Badfisher is great.  It's easier to paddle than the heavy SUPerfishal, but I still think there are many other boards that would paddle quite easier long distances over open water---the wind-catching factor is the only main negative that I would say it has.
However---it is superior in performance down some considerable whitewater.  It just a bends and rolls off boulders and ledges.  Pretty darn costly, and you're gonna want to invest in a KPump or perhaps a mini compressor to pump it up to full pressure.
I really do love this board though, and it's already given me some great memories and access to some hard to reach waters and fish.
I wouldn't plan a beach trip without it.

Travis, thanks for the feedback. The price is pretty high, but I think from your feedback and research online, worth it.
