did this on my second fish, 50 minutes into the backcountry trip on the 23rd, lucky I didn't get a helicopter ride out, all I could do not to throw up for first 24 hours when I took a step, sad part is I done it on the bank  :o

I toughed it out and finished the trip, it helped that we had a float trip the next day on the St Mary River, let my foot rest.

bee:
Nice fish and bad looking ankle.  Glad you were able to finish a long range trip.

dbradyh:
Those are amazing fish! Hope your foot recovers quickly.

David L. Darnell:
That area had been on my radar for over 10 years.

The people we dealt with reminded me of growing up in and around Lynchburg in the 60/70's

Beautiful area but couldn't see for the smoke, BC had 180 fires during our visit

I had my yearly physical on the Tuesday after we returned, showed it to my dr. he is a big outdoorsman, when I showed him how my left toe hung a rock, left heel kept coming to the right, foot rolled in on the insole, then my body just fell to the left over everything that was anchored, doc said it should have snapped, (his did in same situation deer hunting) we were 42 kilometers up the nastiest logging road you can imagine.

I figured I would go to my grave with a nasty limp, doing very well, I keep pushing it to the edge of hurting and back off, my neice has her doctorate in physical therapy, I picked her brain by text when I hurt it.

They don't know what pea gravel looks like up there, big round slick nasty rocks

Steve H:
Beautiful fish and looks like a beautiful place to visit.

That ankle looks rough, hope you recover quickly!
