Recent Cumberland River fishing

Had a chance to float the Cumberland River from the dam to Helm on President's Day. Weather was perfect but few fish to the net. Others had the same fate. Is the Cumberland really "back"?

I fear not. Year before last, I thought it was well on it's way, but last year was noticeably worse. Still a beautiful place to go fishing.

I've heard good and bad. Haven't spent enough time on the river to make an informed determination. I'm sure there's enough there to keep it interesting though. If nothing else the Striper are a blast.
