Late season straggler
« on: April 09, 2018, 08:37:40 AM »
With the colder temps now hopefully exiting, it’s time to hang up the musky gear for about a month or so.  Fish haven’t paired to spawn yet, but many have moved out of winter spots.  Took a Buddy and tried the Crawdad out—boat did fine, but I found one small leak that I didn’t fix well before the LineX, and small ripple in seal let a tiny bit of water in—Flex Tape saved the day again.
Caught one nice fish and my friend Micheal caught an ambitious smallmouth.
Spot welded the plastic from the inside, now Bessie is good again! I hope.

Time now to chase the bonanza of Spring migrants:
White bass, hybrids, Stripers, night walleye, night trout...and of course smallmouth.
Looking forward to everyone’s spring fishing reports.

Nice report. I've switched over to land fish this spring so I'm a little behind on the real fishing reports.
