Elk 5/1/22

Hit the Elk for an upstream paddle to Generals Island and float back to Hurdlow. Caught a few browns, all under 20”, and rainbows. All caught on small gold willow leaf spinner with Tellico nymph. Fish hit great from 4 until 6 when heavy rain and hail moved through. Water clear, 240 CFS. Discharge from water cress farms did not have strong oder of last year. Only met 1 other fishermen in 4 hours. Better hurry and fish and enjoy the peace and quite before the party people show up.

That 240 cfs has sure helped that river. Wish they would do that elsewhere
