Thought it was a mouse. Wrong. It was just this little Milksnake. I think they get in through my fireplace because thats where I've found them before and they love lizards which we also have plenty of around the fireplace....

Me and nicole played with it for a good hour. Calmest most easy going snake on the planet. He's in the front yard now.

There seems to be a really bad mouse problem this year though. While we were out I saw a mouse running around on the porch. I' don't like the kind of snakes those things draw close to the house. Gonna go to war on the mice this week.

Well, i have a kinky garter snake by the barn, i slipped out to take a whizz the other day, looked down & i was giving one the golden shower, just laid there flicking it's tongue :-\

The mice have been bad, getting 6 or 7 every week at the barn.

This shows his cool color patterns. It was one of the prettiest non-venomous snakes I've ever photographed.

Good grief Mike, every $#@% one of those things are Cobras....just different colors.  If I stumbled on one of them in my tying stuff, they would carry me out in one of those big body bags.
