early in the summer TVA did some dam work.  It has been completed but I have not heard any updates since then.

I've heard of fish being caught, they did restock & some holdovers still there.

Yeah,  i have been checking the NGTO board, not very encouraging, but if they don't generate on me it will be a nice float anyway, has any one floated it during generation? I floated it once a few years ago but it was low water.

Can i vent here for a min??!!! Wife and i were headed to Blue Ridge Ga. this weekend for our Anniversary, we booked a cabin with Mountain Laurel Cabin rentals three months ago, we called to confirm this morning and were told threre was no reservation for us, found out they rented it to someone for the month and bumped us!!! after hours on the phone today i had no luck finding another cabin on the river. hours of planing and preperation for nothing!! Just wanted to spread the word, think twice before you do business with Mountain Laurel Cabin rentals in Blue Ridge!!!!  But on a happier note we did manage to get one of our favorite cabins in NC. gonna float the Tuck!! :D Will report when i get back.
Thanks for letting me vent!! :o

Yoda,
I feel your pain. $ come before honesty. I've had two very bad dealings in GA. I avoid GA when ever possible.

That's just pure blind luck right there. I would fish NC and the Tuck over the Toccoa any day of the week. Oh no, I thought this was a fishing trip. I didn't know it was your anniversary. ;D Forget the fishing and enjoy the time together.

ALL'S WELLTHAT ENDS WELL!!!!! (and you were right Curtis the Tuck was awesome!!!) We got to the cabin friday night, got the gear ready for a float on saturday, wifes birthday(I am a lucky man!!!) we met our shuttle at the dam at eight, and transported vehicle to take out. we launched at around nine am.
second cast after pushing off was rewarded by a feisty smallie :D!!! the rest of the day went much the same way except for one large exception around mid day i was striping a large streamer through a deep pool when BAM!!! the big fish of the day hit!!! a super nice Smallie!!!!
Day 2, Our anniversary, left Jen to sleep in while i ran over to the C&R section on the reservation, and i got skunked ( or should i say Elked?!?!) there so i picked up some breakfast and went back to cabin, asked Jen what she wanted to do the rest of the day, and she said lets go back to the tuck!!! (did I mention i was a lucky man??!!!) so we went back to the lower end at the lake, caught a few more Smallies, and a beauty of a Spotted Bass!! got back to the cabin in time to shower and go to dinner at Paula Dean's restaurant at the casino. Food was fantastic!!! (First good meal i have ever had in Cherokee!!) Absolutely Great weekend!!!
Hope everyone got a stretch in their line too!!!
