I started back Deer hunting this year after a 25 year hiatus. Shot a Doe with a Bow right off the bat. I've let several walk because they had Fawns with them. Now I'm about to kill something with a Muzzle Loader. It's been a hoot hunting again. I"m as consumed by it as I am with fishing.
Also started bass fishing again this summer on Center Hill, Cordell Hull, and Chickamauga. Chick is off the F-ing charts. It's amazing the trips I've had Bass fishing there. Amazing!  I gotta say, Bass fishing has filled the void left by our dying tailwaters quite nicely. While I understand gear fishing isn't for everyone,,, it sure has been nice to not have to depend on the plastic hatch, generation schedules to get some time on the water. The Ski boats are the biggest issue on the lakes. But that's another topic. Anyways sorry I've not been keeping things moving here. I'm still fishing all the time and now hunting. Alot of my buddies not so much it seems. Hope everyone is enjoying life and we can all meet and talk about the old times soon. I'll try to be more involved here.

Mike,
Welcome home.  The place is not as crowded, and River D is not around anymore. However the memories of donkeys, and hopper dropper simm sage combo still live in the corner.

Cheers
Mtftn great again.

Glad you are enjoying it again. I have lost my fishing urgency but have experienced a revival as of late.

Don't think it will lead to another boat anytime soon, but I there are things I want to chase that I will figure out on my own or with others.

Don’t you go and turn into a crazy Ted Nugent on us.
Miss the old times.  Still getting my butt kicked by muskie—got several last month. Just found some new water that looks promising to be my best find yet—just so far away.
Hope to share some time on the boat some more after this December.
Later skeleton crew diehards!
