Title: Yamaha dealers?
Post by: jgray on May 08, 2018, 08:22:10 AM
I’m looking for a 40/30 but none of the dealers in Nashville can find one. Any I should try in the surrounding area?

I found a Tohatsu 50/35 but I’m not totally sold on it.

Everyone listed on the Yamaha website - Anderson, Boat Locker, and Nashville Marine.  Some others that I don't remember.  Thanks!

I am under the impression that those HP Yamy jets are no longer in factory production by Yam?  It may be that Outboard Jet has stopped making the unit or Yamy has stopped the 40hp...one or the other?

They are still in production, this is from the Yamaha Outboard Jet site:

I should have said 40 two stroke jet not in production as a Yam factory option( and i think the is correct?  maybe not)....  Thanks Steve for clearing that up.

A lot of the dealers I spoke to thought the 40/30 had been discontinued. It’s not the case - they were just all bought up. I went with the Tohatsu. Thanks guys!
