Finally in the water!
« on: April 11, 2013, 06:21:59 PM »
I finally got into the water last weekend at one of my favorite middle Tennessee creeks.  Took my grandson and son on a camping/fishing weekend. Caught lots of stockers and maybe a holdover rainbow that was about 20".  We had a good fish-fry Saturday night.  I even smoked a few over cherry-wood.  Good eating.

My grandson caught a rainbow and cooked and ate it.  A first for him.  The grin on his face tells the story.

My son and grandson in the water.

Sweetttttt, Good for you.  I hope my old man is able to hold up a tarpon and says he got to smoke it for my kid.

Lol-- what I mean is.... I hope it is a snook.

Good for you and I hope my dad cares enough to show Troutt (my son) that kind of stuff.

Good Work

Thanks everyone for your kind remarks.

It is so rewarding to be able to teach my grandsons (3 om them) how to fish, especially with a fly-rod.  The oldest one (in the photo) is getting the hang of it.

I've told my son that when I get to old to drive, He'll be responsible for getting me in the water.  ;D
