Blue Fish tips
« on: August 17, 2016, 03:23:11 PM »
Was thinking of trying the bluefish in the (Oregon) inlet with fly rod.  Any tips regarding flies / bite guards etc.

Thanks Yoda,

I would also like to say...
Keep calm, chive on, and let that cast unfold behind you. Work a little less and get more distance.

And remember, start the cast at 8 o'clock and end it 5 o'clock. You want to hear it snapping behind AND in front of you.

Thanks for the wealth of casting advice.  Got the whip and crack part down pat  :D

But now I turn to you for advice on getting big hooks out of the back of my head and my ears (unplanned piercings).

I'm starting to understand the ethics of barbless hooks.
