Has anyone fished the Elk in the last couple or weeks? If so how was it?

There was a guy on FishingTN.com that was catching a bunch up near the dam...he was spin fishing with a Sow bug colored Beatle Spin minus the spin from the bank.

Fished it a few times over the past 3 weeks, lots of fish in there. My father-in-law had his best day ever which made my day! I pumped the first 6-8 fish and nodda, zilch, zero bugs...they were all full of the green muck. Later in the day there was a decent little caddis hatch (size 18-20) they were happy about...finally were a few bugs in them at least. Hoping to get out there again this week, possibly Thursday if I can avoid the storms.

Thank you MidgeMan
oldmanelrod, we ended up making it yesterday, fished the dam down and Farris later in the day, it all fished well to say the least. Dad ended up bettering his best day from the last trip which was a thrill to see.
PM or email me if you want more details, have a good un!
