See the link below for the paddlesport rules.
What you shouldn't do, even if you’re a big mouthed woman with a $2 walmart life jacket and a rental kayak, is paddle your ass off to get in front of a boat underway so that you can tell the operator to slow down. You see, I don't care about what speed
you think I should be going. The river is 100+ yards wide under generation. I navigate as far away from you all as I possibly can. If you go outa your way to paddle into my path, you are not only being stupid, you are being being reckless. There are no laws that prohibit motor boats to slow down for kayaks. Just like there are no laws that prohibit kayaks to give waders and fishermen a wide berth, or show even an ounce of respect. There are however laws that you will be breaking by trying to get in front of a boat underway.
No person shall operate or interfere with the safe operation of any motorboat or vessel.
The river under heavy generation, or no generation, isn't a theme park, despite what the brochure where they took your money says. It's a river. A river where motor boats have as much right as you do. Don't like it? Tough shit. I don't like what you all do to the river all summer either.
