Title: Obey Cinco De Mayo
Post by: Travis C. on May 06, 2009, 08:12:35 AM
Fished from Moodys to the Dam for a few hours on conventional gear with small rapalas and speed minnows.  We caught a bunch of big 16" - 20" skippies on light to med tackle up by the boils at the Dam. The guy with me caught one brookie pushin 16"  real hard up in the mix with the skippies.

It was a fun day and felt good to get out on the water for a bit between rains.

Put them Skippies on a Big rod and see what you get....

Do many Stripers run up the Obey?

I have never seen one in the river but it has been high for a while now.

I might have to give that a try next time up there on high water. There are some fishy looking places that I guess never dawned on m to try. Maybe, it will be in the cards next time up that way.
