A few winter Trout from various places.
« on: March 29, 2014, 10:45:09 AM »
Dave had the touch this day. I missed a hookset on a fish we both saw and we both cringed. It was a monster Brown. Monster.

Hey Dave, why is your rod tip not pointing the same direction as the rest of the rod?   ;D

Was it because of this guy?

My dink...

Nope. It's somewhere in NC and it sure beats choking the chicken to Housewives of LA all winter.  ;D

Toughest most frustrating Trout I've ever sight fished to anywhere, period. I highly recommend anyone that thinks it's easy to hop on down there and get em a mess. I had one that was well over 24 and the biggest Bow I've ever had on break me off later that month. Only took me about 4 hours to get a drift/fly he'd eat.

If those rainbows came where I think they came from. They are some of the most picky fish I have ever seen. 6 x and 7 x tippets with great drifts and tons of patience

I said "lookers", not hookers...
