Obey Report

Put in at Donaldson Ramp Thursday afternoon. Ran up to the dam and drifted back. Didn't take long in that current. No place to get out of the current. River is 15 ft deep average. Moving too fast to fish the timber and current is too fast for fish to be holding in it except near the bank. You guys are right, this river is dangerous at this level. If you were to get distracted and drift into a tree you'd be capsized immediately. As you near the Cumberland the water slows somewhat and gets to 25 ft depth. We marked schools of fish in that water but couldn't draw a strike. I'll wait for lower water to fish the Obey again.
