There is lots of variation in the water right now Steve.  Last week it was 3/4 as high as it gets Monday & Wed.  Then they ran nothing for over three days and it was a s low as it gets a few days ago.  Yesterday was 2/3 of a unit all day... so there is no pattern or predicting squat right now.

Steve-

Did you catch the nolaween webcast?  We connected a laptop to a 52" flatscreen with surround sound.  Add a keg of homebrew and a good group of friends and it was a hell of a show....

Nice ones Phil.
Gotta love fishin at night--cool video too.  Now that I'm learning the night game in TN, I can't wait to take it to some of the Arkansas rivers where the hogs live.  Did they hit on top or subsurface??

Travis-

The bite was working subsurface in deep holes that still had a little current in them.  200 grain 24 foot sink tip w/ a sex dungeon tied on the end.  I'm probably doing one more night trip this coming weekend.  Last weekend I guided one night and fished one night.  This weekend I have a day trip Sat., a night trip sat. night and a half day Sunday afternoon... burning the candle at both ends.  The circus has begun on the river and I just can't stand these crowds of idiots.  At least at night you can just about have the river to yourself.

This may be a better pic of the biggun-

Let me know next time you head this way-

  Steve-

Winter can be good, but of course it all depends on water and water quality.  Winter can also be the hardest season to predict.  Some years are very good and some are terrible.  Who knows what we are in for this year... I'll keep you posted.
