Title: Creek Float 4-11-18
Post by: dbradyh on May 11, 2018, 11:35:52 AM
Made it out for an all day float on a local creek with the canoe and a friend yesterday. Caught smallmouth and red eye all day on just about whatever we threw. Top water smallmouth are hard to beat in clear water! Saw a dozen banded water snakes and three water moccasin. Creek flows were good and we only had to portage around trees a couple of times. Found an arrowhead to round out the trip.

I can never find those damn arrowheads.

Water Moc? I've yet to see one of those. I guess they are moving this way.

You have to wonder how manny droughts, floods and fishermen have passed by since that arrowhead ended up where you found it.

That's pretty cool.  I wonder how old it is...looks to be in great shape.

Very nice arrowhead.

Sounds like a good day out.
