Made it out for an all day float on a local creek with the canoe and a friend yesterday. Caught smallmouth and red eye all day on just about whatever we threw. Top water smallmouth are hard to beat in clear water! Saw a dozen banded water snakes and three water moccasin. Creek flows were good and we only had to portage around trees a couple of times. Found an arrowhead to round out the trip.

I can never find those damn arrowheads.
Water Moc? I've yet to see one of those. I guess they are moving this way.

You have to wonder how manny droughts, floods and fishermen have passed by since that arrowhead ended up where you found it.
