Korkers
« on: February 06, 2013, 07:27:43 PM »
Just wanted to give "props" to the guys at Korkers, I bought a pair of Chromes a little over a year ago, they started to come apart in a couple of places, without a receipt or anything they took my boots back and have shipped me a new pair!!! Most comfy boots i have ever worn, and a great company to deal with "ta boot"( couldn't resist!!) :D

I hope they take care of me.  I purchased a pair of Chromes in Oct. 2011 and they are disintegrating right before my very eyes.  I didn't even get 3 years out of them, and for what I spent on them I expected more than that...

No issues so far, but I am watching them close.

Like ya'll, love mine, especially the BOA. I'm wondering if ya'll hang your boot's upside down to dry?
I'm not defending Korker's here, i started doing that many years ago & have always gotten many years out of a pair, being enough water can undo glue.

Where do ya'lls seem to be coming apart at, that's something i can bring up in discussion with them for future reference, Thanks.

Grumpy, I dry my boots in 3 phases. First, on their side, next day flip to other side, then hang in a loop foot entry side facing the ground. Has kept them in good shape so far.

Love the BOA!

Ok asshat, this occurs while I walk by, not some methodical scientific method.

Would it fit you better if I used a timer? Would that make you happy? You know it's all about you.  ;D

I hang mine upside down on my canoe hanger in my garage to let the water run out of them.  Once they are dry I bring them inside and store them in my "man cave" indoors.

Mine are coming apart where the upper part of the boot (grey material) is joined by adhesive to the lower (black) portion of the boot that holds the interchangeable soles.  In addition, my boots began "cracking" in the creases where they flex on the upper portion of the boot last year, or about 1.5 years into wearing them.  Not bad, but enough to where a little bit of material started flaking off.  I knew then they wouldn't last much long.  I try to take good care of my gear to squeeze as much life out of it as possible, but it seems anymore which all this shit being made in China, about 2 or 3 years is the max.
