Title: brown fish and rain
Post by: gaspergou on August 21, 2015, 06:46:18 AM
Wound up over near the Buffalo on Wednesday, with a bit of time to play. Creeks were up, but clear -- and smallies were hungry. Only got 30 min and a few fish in before the flash/thunder interval suggested it was time to stop waving a fly rod around. Need to go back soon -- paw paws should be almost ripe!

Could have been worse -- my wife was at the big soccer match in Chattanooga that evening, and left in the middle of the deluge after 15 min of play...

Looks like fun.
Nice pic of the smallie.
I'm always amazed at the wide variance in appearance amongst smallmouth, even within the same river system.

Nice Dave, I have been wanting to head over the Buffalo and its tribs to play.
