Last couple of weekends
« on: January 27, 2020, 11:17:26 AM »
Spent two days on the water the last couple of weekends. The 19th we fished before the big front pushed through. It was tough at first but we found some fish in the mouth of a creek. We had two aggressive follows and one eat that shook the hook, and one person in another boat yelled "YES" in the distance. So I assume they got one. All this within an hour of each other and just before the front hit. Confirming once again that these fish have definite bite windows. Yesterday we fished many of the same places. The water has been high and was stained. The weather was mild and very overcast. Water clarity was clear to stained depending on where you were. Temps were also varied. 45 in some places and 52 in others.
We didn't move a fish in 7 hours of casting. We were using gear both days. I've yet to catch a trophy size Musky on gear. I seem to do better with a fly...  I'm hoping to change that this year.

I’m waiting for you to get them dialed in , so I can come over there and coast off your hard work.
They’ll drive you crazy, but when you hit a great bite window, there’s nothing like it.
I’ve had some great moments so far this year.  Got a new stretch of holes where some real bruisers have been haunting on the missed strikes.
Hopefully, I’ll post a good old-fashioned Report soon.

It's sure easy to get discouraged.
Travis you need to come fish Chickamauga with me sometime. The Bass fishing in that lake is unreal. Better than south Ga.
