Caught a few LM Bass surface feeding on the flats then moved on to the Carp. I think in all we caught 5 Carp, most were around 5 to 7 pounds. I finally sparked David’s interest and he was casting to the Carp before we got done. Lake is dropping fast and I don't really know why unless there is a power demand all of a sudden. Didn’t see any Hybrid action at all! I am a bit confused about the whereabouts of the fish this year but I just haven’t been spending enough time on the river. The larger Gizzard Shad schools are not as thick as usual or at least not when I’m out there.

There is not much collective security in a flock of sheep on the way to the butcher.
