LOW, LOW, LOW water. But the fishing is still enjoyable. Without my drift boat in tow in tow, my range was limited by the prop driven rentals! A little bit of wading extended my range, but not by much.
A few of these were caught each day, (http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o309/owengrad/2017%20White%20River/IMG_0006.jpg),
bucket loads of these each day (http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o309/owengrad/2017%20White%20River/IMG_0002.jpg),
and even a surprise at dusk while wading (http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o309/owengrad/2017%20White%20River/21.jpg)!
My partner for the trip, who is new to the sport, even got into a decent brown! (http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o309/owengrad/2017%20White%20River/2a0ccf45-c606-4997-add2-967747c86345.jpg)
We fished on Tuesday under the watchful eyes of this majestic creature and its mate, as the tended to 2 young eaglets!(http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o309/owengrad/2017%20White%20River/IMGP0011.jpg?t=1490202111)(http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o309/owengrad/2017%20White%20River/e86baf4e-6728-4c60-83db-e5433a235e65.jpg) The image quality sux! However, due to my expertise at baptising cell phones, I only bring my 15 year old, waterproof P&S (really a POS) in the boat.

Looks like a fun trip & the Eagles were a treat for sure.

Looks like a great trip and the Eagles are always a blessing.

We fished the white 2 weeks ago. Low water and jet sleds. And this is the face you make when your dad lets you hold the fish that you had already thrown at 10 times.

Fished the White River April 24 below Bull Shoals Dam near the state park on low water and caught lots of rainbows and 4 very nice browns (17" to 19"). The next day on high water below the dam, caught several very nice rainbows on san juan worms. Given the rain lately in Missouri and Arkansas, I bet they are on high water for weeks.
