Western North Carolina
« on: September 19, 2012, 09:43:49 PM »
Jen and i headed over to WNC for our anniversary trip to the mountains. water was to low for floating or jet boating, but we did manage to fish a bit each day, we started out in Mcminnville, had to pick up my new Towee, Todd had to lower jet a bit, this one rides much higher in the water!! we are also trying out a new super slick coating on bottom.( i will let you know how i like it later.) I ran into a forum member at the launch, Bill nice to meet you!! How did y'all do? I caught a couple Smallies.
And then we headed towards NC. Armed and ready to fish!!!
Fishing was slow this weekend, but i did manage one really nice Trout, measured a solid 20 in the net!!

Nice Troot.

Thanks y'all, that was the best trout fight I've had in a long time!! 5x and a strong current, and fish was twice as colored up before pics.

Nice fish!  Would love to hear more about the coating on the boat...curious if there is something out there aside from line-x to put on the bottom of my gheenoe for some added protection against the rocks and concrete boat ramps.
