Plateau Hike
« on: February 16, 2014, 09:08:37 PM »
Headed out to explore a river draining the eastern side of the Plateau and found the water to be much bigger than expected.

Lots of blue holes.

Hiked further up to where  a creek dumped into the river.

Trail followed the creek from one cascade to the next.

Seemed to be miles of this kind of feature.

The trail left the creek as we all headed to the take out car.

Looks like we found a new place to fish when the weather warms up!

Damn that place looks FINE!  Might need  to float an sup on it this summer.
There is not much collective security in a flock of sheep on the way to the butcher.

Beautiful water, but if it's the one that I'm thinking, it gets pretty bony in the summer... like even bonier than the one that had you and Travis sliding around and cussing me ;)

Nice looking countryside Brady.  That kind of remote Water is intriguing, and it's a nice refuge from the summer crowds when solitude is hard to find.  Can't wait to see the return trip.

I am pretty sure I kayaked that one several times (many years ago).  Like dave says, it gets pretty bony in the summer time.
