-
Hey mike, yes we went up sun and like your trip ours was slow as well .it started off super (i didnt tear anything up and thats always a good thing)i caught 2 very nice fish almost back to back and missed another then it started raining.when it stopped we got back out and i guess everything changed and it slowed way down for us .after changing up for about two hours i caught another one but we just could not put it together bwos were comming off well but the fish were not on them at all .the fish were rising to something we just could not find out what it was .so all in all we had a good time but it was very tough for us but thats fishing .like caneybuff said, sometimes your the windshield sometimes your the bug but we sure didnt have the right bug for sunday!we need to get together and go again sometime next month.

Bill in addition to BWO's I saw lots of ants and grey midges on the water. Some of the ants were quite large but most were small. An 18 Para Adams worked a little bit when you could find a pod of fish sipping so I almost suspect they were taking those little grey midges.
Poor BD forgot his ugly/lucky hat and had a very bad trip where everything seemed to work against him. It wasn't over once we left the river either. He sent me an email saying he forgot a turn on the way home and went several miles out of the way. Once he got back on track he hit something in the road and blew out two tires. Keep in mind it's after 10 pm in the middle of BFE. He then had to walk back to Celina to get cell service to call a wrecker who only took several hrs to get there. I guess if it’s any consultation I have had to pay a few dues for all my fishing and forgetfulness lately myself. I won’t get into that though…
